Sheffield United issue ticket update ahead of pre-season friendly vs Rotherham
Sheffield United will continue their pre-season preparations with a trip to Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.
Sheffield United have confirmed that a ‘limited’ number of tickets will be available on the turnstiles for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Rotherham United at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The Blades will make the short trip to their South Yorkshire counterparts looking to maintain their unbeaten pre-season record. Chris Wilder's side secured a third win in four outings on Tuesday, coming from behind to beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 at Shirecliffe.
The trip to Rotherham marks United's penultimate pre-season fixture before they face Mansfield Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup in their first competitive match of the 2026/27 season, which gets underway in just over a fortnight. The Blades will then conclude their pre-season schedule with a trip to Germany to face VfL Bochum next Saturday.
Although it has not been confirmed exactly how many tickets remain available to Blades supporters for the clash with the Millers, United have confirmed a ‘limited’ number will be available on the away-end turnstiles. United were given an allocation of 3,679 for the tussle with Alex Bruce’s side.
United have informed supporters that tickets are no longer available to purchase from Bramall Lane. Ticket prices will increase by £2 on the turnstiles, meaning adults wishing to watch the Blades' fifth outing of pre-season will pay £17. Over-65s and young adults aged between 18 and 21 will pay £12.
United have visited the New York Stadium in each of their last three pre-season campaigns. After losing 1-0 to the Millers in July 2023, they were 2-1 winners in July 2024 before running out 5-0 winners last year.
After Ryan Oné had given the Blades a first-half lead, they increased their advantage after the break through goals from Tyrese Campbell, Andre Brooks, Tom Cannon and Callum O'Hare.
