These sex predators have all been before Sheffield judges and handed custodial sentences during the last few months of this year.
Some of them are hardened sex offenders known to have breached orders protecting the public from their perverse ways in the past.
In some cases they have raped children following online grooming, while others have been snared online by decoys posing as children and many have been caught with terrible images of child sexual abuse.
However all of them have been found a risk to children.

1. Thomas Hall
Hall, 38, made gross remarks online with two police officers and a member of the public posing as underage girls aged around 12-13 years old. Sheffield Crown Court heard Hall, from Barnsley, contacted the online decoys over an app, telling one: “You can be my dirty little girl. You can call me daddy.” He was handed six-and-a-half years’ jail with a post-custodial licence period of three-and-a-half years. | SYP

2. Daniel Ashmore
Ashmore, 33, raped a child after grooming them on Snapchat and branded an offender of “particular concern” by a judge. He was jailed for 10 years without eligibility for automatic release. The sexual predator, formerly of Norwood Avenue, Sheffield, will only be released when the parole board deems it “appropriate”. | SYP

3. John BRAITCH
Pervy sex pest Braitch, 45, badgered a teenage girl for naked images of herself and was caught with a photo of a woman engaged in a sex act with “multiple” animals. The Rotherham man had the gross image seized by police when the teenage girl he was pestering confided in someone and officers began investigating. Sheffield Crown Court heard Braitch sent the young girl pictures of his privates on Facebook, asking her for pictures of her own genitalia. He was jailed for 21 months and handed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. | SYP

4. Mark Grayson
“Lonely” and “isolated” pervert Grayson asked a police officer posing online as a 12-year-old girl if she was “frisky” and would like “phone sex”. Sheffield Crown Court heard when Grayson was arrested at home the following month he told officers he had done “something daft” but there was “nowt physical, just words”. However his laptop revealed a hoard of nearly 200 indecent images of children aged between six and 13 years old - 82 of which were category A, the most serious which comprise of penetrative rape in many cases. Grayson was handed 20 months’ jail suspended for two years. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and comply with probation in respect of his rehabilitation. | Iconic
