Readers posted on The Star’s Facebook page to say the shipping container development on Fargate ‘will be great’.
It comes after the city council announced the Alpine Bar and Big Wheel, plus some cabins selling gifts and food and drink, will be on The Moor instead of Fargate this year.
The delayed Container Park opens on Monday October 17.

Kirsty Damms: ‘Doesn’t matter where it’s situated, just hope they improve the Christmas stalls. Last year’s were very poor choice and some were empty! Hopefully better this year!’
Mike Robertson: ‘I honestly don't understand the beef folks have with the containers, it will be great! There’s similar setups in other cities and they're really cool places to go’.
David Scothern: ‘I think it’s a complex issue with a lot of variables to consider. As a city, we must, MUST, get this right’.

Leanne Fearn: ‘Everything is down the Moor now, Fargate is just a big dump! I work not far from Fargate and used to spend my lunchtimes walking round the shops but I rarely go into town now, and if I do, it’s a sprint down the Moor. It’s awful up Fargate now’.
