Martin McGrail, boss of Steelyard Kelham, which has supplied the shipping containers used in the development on Fargate, issued a plea for a ‘a new, independent start-up business’ just three days before it opens.
He added: “So if you’re looking to start up your business and would love a unique space that measures 2.4m x 3.8m with full glass frontage and neighbours JamArtwork and Heist Brewery then drop me an email urgently.

The £446,000 project – paid for by the Get Britain Building fund – was planned to open before the Women’s Euros but delayed numerous times. Now, it opens on Monday October 17 and the bar will open on Friday October 28. Four of the original six vendors pulled out of the project and were replaced.
Last week The Star reported the other businesses moving in where: Get Wurst – it brings the taste of Bavaria to the Steel City with currywurst, bratwurst and schnitzels; Clapping Seoul – authentic Korean street food featuring favourites such as Seoul baos, rice burriots and dumplings; Fat Mex – Mexican street food from Steel Yard Kelham offering burriots, tacos, nachos and churros.
