The delays are in place on Hemsworth Road, Graves Park, next to Graves Park Animal Farm, where the Graves Park Country Show is taking place.
There are also extensive delays on roads linking up to Hemsworth Road, including Derbyshire Lane, Warminster Road and Mount View Road. Nearby Chesterfield Road is also congested.
The Graves Park Country Show is a family-friendly event with attractions including a dog show.
