Road closures announced ahead of Steel City derby as Sheffield United host Sheffield Wednesday
Road closures have been announced ahead of the Steel City Derby this weekend.
The much anticipated clash between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday takes place at Bramall Lane on Sunday, February 22.

As fans prepare for the game, South Yorkshire Police is urging Sheffield residents to plan ahead and consider their travel plans.
A number of road closures will be in place around the stadium which are expected to be implemented during the morning and lifted shortly after the game has finished.
Roads affected by the closures will include Bramall Lane, John Street and Shoreham Street.
The game will kick off at 12pm on Sunday and coincides with the Lunar New Year celebrations happening in Sheffield city centre on the same day.
SYP said as a result the force is “expecting the area to be increasingly busy before, during, and after the match”.
The force said there will be an increased police presence on matchday.
SYP said: “Our officers will be ready to help and support people making their way to the game – or visiting the city centre – wherever needed.
“Some will be wearing protective equipment in line with normal procedure, but every officer will be happy to engage with you if you need their help or advice.”
SYP added: “As the game is taking place near the city centre, disruption to tram services is expected to be minimal, but people are being encouraged to check timetables and schedules here: https://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/”
