Detective Chief Inspector Scott Harrison said: "A family home has been shot at on a usual Saturday, while a young woman was at home enjoying her evening. This is frankly appalling.

"Those who have chosen to commit this callous act clearly do not care about the consequences of their actions, and may be thinking they got away with it under the cover of night. But be rest assured, this is certainly not the case.

"We have a dedicated team of officers working around the clock to find those responsible."
