“Well done and thank you to Control operators, firefighters and officers for their work during what's been an incredibly busy period for the fire service.”

It was the latest wildfire to hit the area.

The fire service have warned people not to use have barbecues on grassland because of the risk of fire, following a long period of dry weather.

Meanwhile, Firefighters say they continue to make progress in response to a wildfire on Tintwistle Moor in the Peak District.

It remains classified as a Major Incident, with crews maintaining a significant presence as work continues to contain the fire and reduce the risk of re-ignition.

The A628 Woodhead Pass remains closed to allow firefighters, emergency services partners and specialist vehicles to operate safely in and around the incident area.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said last night: “With the summer holidays now underway and more people expected to visit the countryside, we are also reminding the public to remain vigilant and help reduce the risk of wildfires.

“Please avoid lighting fires or using disposable barbecues, dispose of smoking materials responsibly, take litter home, and report any signs of fire by calling 999 immediately. “
