Sheffield mum accused of murder of newborn daughter due in court again with four others
The defendants include the baby girl’s own mother
Fpour people accused of the murder of a newborn baby girl in Sheffield, including the infant’s own mother, will appear at court today.
‘Baby S’ was found with multiple stab wounds in a house on Holywell Heights, Wincobank, on Sunday, August 30.
Her mother, Andrea Skopova, aged 20, of Robey Street, Page Hall, was one of five people who appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday over the death.

She is accused of murder, along with Peter Horvath Jnr, 19, Peter Horvath Snr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, all of Holywell Heights. They also all face charges of causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice by cleaning the scene of the alleged crime.
A 15-year-old girl is also charged with perverting the course of justice.
Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard all the defendants are Slovakian nationals.
The defendants will appear at Sheffield Crown Court today (Thursday, September 3).

It is expected that today’s hearing will be used to arrange dates for a plea and trial preparation hearing at a later date, at which the defendants enter guilty or not guilty pleas.
Prosecutor Luke Hopkinson told Sheffield magistrates yesterday that the baby’s mother is the defendant Andrea Skopova.
The father is unknown, Mr Hopkinson said.
Skopova is the girlfriend of the defendant Horvath Jnr, who is the son of the other two adult defendants.
Mr Hopkinson said Horvath Jnr is not believed to be the father.
