Sheffield Wednesday face trip to League Two strugglers in FA Cup first round

Sheffield Wednesday will travel to Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup first round.

The Owls will visit the League Two side over the weekend of Saturday, November 7.

Wednesday lost 4-0 to The Latics at Boundary Park in pre-season. But they won 4-2 there in their last competitive visit in 2012 in a League Cup first round clash. Oldham are currently 19th in the table, just one point above the relegation zone.

First round winners receive £47,750 in prize money. The draw was made on Monday night.

Wednesday were knocked out of the competition at the third round stage last season, losing 2-0 at home to Brentford.

Other local ties include Kidderminster Harriers v Doncaster Rovers, Bromley v Rotherham United, Barnsley v Aldershot Town/Tadley Calleva and Chesterfield v Yeovil Town/Leatherhead.

The Owls are back in league action on Tuesday evening away at Notts County.
