Thieves reportedly knocked a motorcyclist off his bike before stealing it and leaving him injured in the road.

The incident took place on Aughton Lane in Aston at around 5pm today and resulted in the road being closed for a short time while officers carried out investigations.
Several residents who were among the first on the scene said the biker was knocked to the ground before the thieves made off with his bike.
His injuries are not currently known.
South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for comment.
