Armed police called to Sheffield estate and man arrested after gun fired at woman

The 63-year-old was arrested after police officers were called to Exeter Drive, Broomhall, on Saturday, April 24.
South Yorkshire Police said a gun was fired at a 31-yearold woman, who escaped unharmed.

Hide AdThe force said: “We received a call at 6.52pm on April 24 for reports of a firearms discharge on Exeter Drive in Sheffield.
“It is reported that a man discharged a firearm at a known 31-year-old woman.
“No one was injured. A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent, he has since been released on police bail.”
Armed police were deployed to the crime scene as well as a police dog as officers established the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
