Murder suspects due in court over fatal stabbing of Danny Irons on Sheffield estate

Two men accused of the murder of a dad-of-three in a knife attack in Sheffield are due to appear at court today.

Daniel Chadwick, aged 29, of Melville Drive, Manor and Ross Turton, 29, of Danewood Avenue, Manor, have both been charged with the murder of Danny Irons and are due at Sheffield Crown Court for a hearing today after an appearance before magistrates last week.

Two other men, aged 24 and 28, who were also arrested over Danny’s death, were released under investigation after police questioning.

Danny, 32, was stabbed to death on Fretson Green, Manor, in the early hours of Saturday, April 17.

The dad-of-three was pronounced dead at the scene.

Extensive searches are still being carried out as part of the murder probe, with water searches planned today.
