More than 43,000 people have signed a petition calling on the Government to suspend the law under which tenants can be evicted, pending a review.
Although the Government has responded that it has no plans to do so, if the petition hits 100,000 signatures, it must be considered for debate in Parliament.
In the new video songwriter Miles Kane, a frequent collaborator with Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner, states 'it's a landmark for the city and so much great youth comes through it and new young talent that's inspiring. I've been playing here for 15 years and I want to play here for another 15 years.'

Head of programming for The Leadmill, Rose Wilcox said: “It has been incredible to have such a large volume of support from people across the world.
“You really get a sense of just how much this venue means to people, for so many different reasons.
"This video encapsulates countless emotions and it is quite literally just a handful of the stories that we've heard. We really hope that this video can be shared far and wide to spread awareness of our current situation as well as the level of importance that the venue holds in Sheffield and beyond.”

Hide AdElectric Group’s CEO Dominic Madden has repeatedly tried to reassure people that the venue would be in safe hands should his firm take over. It bought the freehold from MCR Properties for £600,000 in 2017.
He has said the company – which already runs Electric Brixton in London and SWX in Bristol - would invest about £1m refurbishing the premises to secure its future as a music venue for the next 30 years.
But that has not stopped numerous musicians and comedians, from Pulp and the Arctic Monkeys to Joe Lycett and Eddie Izzard, backing the #WeCantLoseLeadmill campaign launched by the current operators.
Jarvis Cocker said The Leadmill was 'more than this building and this stage, it's something that's grown over years and it's a feeling. It's like a form of magic'.
