Thomas Tallis, the foundation’s namesake, was renowned for his High Renaissance music, famous for works such as ‘Spem in alium’ and ‘If Ye Love Me’.

‘Songs of the British Isles’ explores “some of the finest music Great Britain has to offer” with music from the likes of Tallis, Byrd, Stanford, Parsons, and Holst.

The event was previously hosted at St Mary’s Church in Beverley as well as Dore Abbey in Herefordshire throughout May and August.

The Tallis Foundation are a national charitable organisation developing, representing and supporting the next generation of choral professionals which was founded in 2017 by musical director Chris Why.

Across the Foundation’s many events, they bring together a group of emerging and established singers, conductors and instrumentalists from across the United Kingdom.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 19 and tickets will be available on the door for £15, with wine and refreshments being served during the event and being included in the ticket fee.
