Everything you need to know as Rock N Roll Circus 2026 set to roll into Sheffield

The Star has put together a complete guide to this year’s festival.

Anticipation is building as Rock N Roll Circus is set to roll back into Sheffield for a fourth summer, returning to Don Valley Bowl from August 27 to 30.

Echoing The Rolling Stones’ iconic 1968 film, the festival seamlessly blends live music with circus arts under a massive big top.

This year, you’ll not only see big names like The Kooks and The Streets take to the stage, but also aerialists, fire performers, stilt walkers and other circus acts performing between sets.

From the line-up to travel tips, The Star has put together a complete guide to this year’s festival.

Who is playing Rock N Roll Circus this year?

This year’s festival brings a different flavour to Don Valley Bowl each day. The Kooks open the event on Thursday, performing their debut album Inside In/Inside Out in full. On Friday, The Streets will perform A Grand Don’t Come for Free in full, while Saturday’s line-up is led by Wunderhorse. Richard Ashcroft closes the festival on Sunday.

Local favourites Milburn and The Everly Pregnant Brothers are also on the bill. Visit the website for the full line-up.

How do I get to Rock N Roll Circus?

Key advice includes:

1. Public transport is highly recommended but Yellow line tram is running an amended service due to planned network improvement works.

2. Avoid parking at Meadowhall Shopping Centre. The separate Meadowhall Interchange Park and Ride can be used by festivalgoers, although spaces are limited.

3. Book on-site parking service in advance at Arena because the availability is limited.

Car

If you’re driving to Don Valley Bowl directly, you can park at Utilita Arena but please pre-book here for your car in advance because of the limited availability.

If you want to do park and ride, park your car at Meadowhall Interchange Park and Ride and take the Yellow tram train to Arena/Olympic Legacy Park. Do not park at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre, otherwise you might get fined because RNRC is not an authorised event on its list.

Tram

The nearest tram stop is Arena/Olympic Legacy Park, next to Don Valley Bowl. However, planned network improvement works will affect Yellow Route services during the festival.

Trams will run between Middlewood and Cathedral, and separately between Meadowhall Interchange and Woodbourn Road. Replacement bus service YE1 will operate between Cathedral and Woodbourn Road.

Passengers traveling from Sheffield city centre will therefore need to take the YE1 replacement bus from Cathedral to Woodbourn Road before changing onto a Yellow Route tram towards Meadowhall.

Passengers travelling from Meadowhall Interchange can take the Yellow Route tram directly to Arena/Olympic Legacy Park.

Bike and Motorcycle

You can park your bike or motorcycle to a show & park in the Arena car park for free. However, the availability of metal railings to lock your bike to is limited, and there is no shelter or locker/storage facility at the venue.
