The publication states that the Owls are joined by Stoke City, Millwall and Luton Town on Porteous’ list of admirers, while it is said that Hibs have made an offer to extend his contact – one that’s not been accepted just yet.

His club manager, Lee Johnson, was asked about the 23-year-old’s future this week as he draws ever closer to the last six months of his deal, but he says the focus right now is Porteous on the pitch.

Speaking ahead of their final game before a month-long World Cup break, Johnson said, “Let’s get this game out of the way and then in the next press conference we can embrace those types of questions. “But at the moment he’s obviously playing and it’s not something you want to push while he’s playing.”
