Sheffield Wednesday v Rotherham United - Darren Moore's reaction to undeserving defeat
The Owls are in a good run of form of late, winning their last four games in League One as they successfully closed the gap on the Play-Off places – however they take on a Rotherham side that are flying high at the top of the table and have won their last five, all with clean sheets.
Paul Warne also has one of the league’s top scorers at his disposal in Michael Smith, while Darren Moore’s side remain depleted with injuries keeping a total of 10 senior players out of the squad at present.

Key Events
- It’s a South Yorkshire derby
- Wednesday are looking to complete a double
- The Owls could go up to fourth today
Getting a bit tasty
It’s getting a bit testy down on the pitch now. Wednesday increasingly frustrated, and the fans following suit.
Two chances
The first corner finds its way to Paterson, who puts it into the six yard box only for it to be cleared, then Hunt hits over from the resulting corner. Wednesday certainly fighting back.
Byers booked
He put in what looked like a good challenge on the edge of the centre circle, but is booked for it.
Bannan caught his freekick nicely, but it’s palmer away by Vickers. Nearly an automatic response from Wednesday.
Freekick in a good position
Bannan barged in the back right on the edge of the box. Decent position, this.
1-0 Rotherham
Ladapo heads home from the corner. It’s against the run of play, and didn’t look like a corner in the first place, but the Millers lead.
Just over
Paterson heads just over the bar after a long ball into the box. He’s certainly put himself about - he’d love to end his long goal drought this afternoon.
Smothered
Paterson breaks, and tries to square it to Mendez-Laing... His ball is blocked though, and Rotherham get control of it.
