The budget hotel chain has announced a huge recruitment drive which will aim to fill 500 positions throughout the United Kingdom.

According to Travelodge, the jobs are perfect for parents as it is “designed around your daily school run”, as well as A-Level students and university graduates “looking for a successful career”.

In the announcement of its huge country-wide recruitment drive, a spokesperson for Travelodge issued the following statement: “There has never been a better time than now to join Travelodge, one of the UK’s leading names in hospitality.”

“We are dedicated to supporting our colleagues so that they can learn more, earn more and belong. We are currently looking to fill 500 jobs with a career opportunity across the UK and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals that have a passion, determination and desire to deliver excellent customer service to join our team,” said Hannah Thompson, Chief People Officer at Travelodge.

“Working in the hotel industry is fun and exciting, and opens the door to a world of opportunities. The sheer variety of available roles within Travelodge enables us to welcome jobseekers of all types, from those wishing to start a career in hospitality to students, graduates and those looking to make a career change.

Sheffield Richmond Travelodge are on the hunt for a Night Roving Team Member which will work at the hotel on a full time basis.

The successful applicant will work a total of 40 hours per week under the job title of ‘receptionist’ with a pay of £10.45 per-hour.

What will the job entail? Travelodge has issued the following job description: “This role requires that applicants are able to drive around the district to cover local hotels, within a 10 mile radius. As such applicants will need to be able to drive as the work will be done through the night. Travelodge is expanding and we have over 570 hotels . We pride ourselves in giving all of our customers unbeatable value and a quality experience.”

Typical working hours for a night time member is 11 pm to 7 am.
