Helping Yorkshire Poundies, an animal charity based in Rotherham, is looking to rehome 20 dogs in their kennels right now.
The charity works around the clock to save dogs from death row, but in order for the team to help as many canines as possible, their kennels must be freed up, and that can only be done through selfless people adopting and fostering some of these loving souls.
Many of these dogs have come from difficult backgrounds, but that should not dictate their future. With patience and love, these four-legged friends will be able to live a normal life in the loving home they were destined to be in.
If any of these cuties below catch your eye, you can visit Helping Yorkshire Poundies’ website and register your interest by filling out the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire. You can also fill out a form on their website if you are interested in fostering one of the dogs available.
As a busy charity, Helping Yorkshire Poundies is always open to financial donations to help the runnings of their service. To find out how you can donate to the charity, please click here.

13. Benji is such a cutie
Benji the Patterdale is such a sweet little lad. At 10-years-old, he is still full of energy and loves walks and exploring. He is reactive on lead to dogs, but it is felt he would get used to some canine walking friends with slow introductions on lead. He has a lot of love to give to his new owner and is best suited to a pet and child-free home who love terriers. He will make the best companion and only asks for belly rubs in return. 14. Hello Hunter!
Hunter is the friendliest boy. The eight-year-old Akita is always smiling and wagging his tail. He is fully housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours and is great around the house. He walks beautifully on lead and loves his walks, he also loves having a little play with his toys. He could live with a friendly female dog pending meet and greet. He could live with children aged 10+. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies

15. 'Ello Ember
Ember sadly found herself homeless through no fault of her own. She is a nine-year-old malamute who is super friendly and will quickly roll over for belly rubs. She has settled down well with a good routine of nice walks and plenty of company. She seems to be housetrained and walks well on lead. She can sometimes grumble at other dogs. She should be the only dog in the home and not left alone for long periods. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies

16. Say hello to Rolo
Rolo is one year old, who is shy at first, but a total cuddle monster when he’s got his confidence. He will need his confidence building, and plenty of gentle input and training to help him feel more confident when out. He loves playing with his toys and is full of beans. He needs some work both on and off the lead. He is a clever young boy who is best suited to a quiet, active home with a secure garden.
