Helping Yorkshire Poundies, an animal charity based in Rotherham, is looking to rehome 20 dogs in their kennels right now.
The charity works around the clock to save dogs from death row, but in order for the team to help as many canines as possible, their kennels must be freed up, and that can only be done through selfless people adopting and fostering some of these loving souls.
Many of these dogs have come from difficult backgrounds, but that should not dictate their future. With patience and love, these four-legged friends will be able to live a normal life in the loving home they were destined to be in.
If any of these cuties below catch your eye, you can visit Helping Yorkshire Poundies’ website and register your interest by filling out the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire. You can also fill out a form on their website if you are interested in fostering one of the dogs available.
As a busy charity, Helping Yorkshire Poundies is always open to financial donations to help the runnings of their service. To find out how you can donate to the charity, please click here.

9. Little chunk, Cupcake
Cupcake is around three-years-old and was a stray. She is a medium-sized bully breed with short legs and chunky body - and squishy chops. She is a sweetheart who loves her cuddles. She enjoys a walk but really enjoys snuggles on the sofa. She is friendly with everyone she meets, housetrained, and in a happy foster home with other dogs. She panics at the sound of dogs barking but is getting better with this. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies

10. This is Penny
Seven-year-old bullmastiff Penny loves getting out for a good walk. She is super friendly with everyone she meets, but as her history is unknown, she cannot be homed with children aged under 10. She is housetrained, doesn’t chew, and is fine on her own for a few hours. She walks well on lead but will need a strong handler due to her large size. She is good with dogs and could live with a neutered male. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies

11. Baby Zelda
Zelda is just a baby at around four-months-old, but sadly she found herself in stray kennels. She is a German shepherd cross and a typical puppy who has all her life ahead of her. She needs a home as soon as possible as she is too young to be in a kennel. Her new home will need time, space and energy to help this pup grow up into a mature and well-rounded dog. 12. This is pretty little Bella
Bella is a nine-year-old pug cross who is full of beans with an abundance of character. She used to be very shy, but now loves attention and sitting on your knees. She is good around the house, housetrained, and can be left alone for a few hours. She is very excitable in the car and will need a harness. She could live with children aged 10+, a calm male dog, and possibly a confident cat. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies
