Helping Yorkshire Poundies, an animal charity based in Rotherham, is looking to rehome 20 dogs in their kennels right now.
The charity works around the clock to save dogs from death row, but in order for the team to help as many canines as possible, their kennels must be freed up, and that can only be done through selfless people adopting and fostering some of these loving souls.
Many of these dogs have come from difficult backgrounds, but that should not dictate their future. With patience and love, these four-legged friends will be able to live a normal life in the loving home they were destined to be in.
If any of these cuties below catch your eye, you can visit Helping Yorkshire Poundies’ website and register your interest by filling out the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire. You can also fill out a form on their website if you are interested in fostering one of the dogs available.
As a busy charity, Helping Yorkshire Poundies is always open to financial donations to help the runnings of their service. To find out how you can donate to the charity, please click here.

17. This loving girl is Bubbles
Bubbles was previously a stray. She is making lots of progress, but she may always have little quirks. She can be nervous, but she also has a huge personality, a big love for food, and is bound to make you laugh as she charges around the house. She can live with calm neutered male dogs. She is too nervous to walk on lead, and due to her breed she cannot safely manage much exercise. She is not fully housetrained. 18. Long-legged Clover
Clover is aged between 1-2 years and is so friendly. She is in a foster home and is doing great. She is fully housetrained, knows commands, can be left alone for a few hours and travels well in the car. She should be the only pet, and have access to a secure garden. Clover gets stressed around other dogs on walks and will need walks in quiet areas while on a lead. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies

19. Handsome Hawkins
Hawkins, aged seven, needs a home with experience with his breed type. He has his quirks, and needs someone to understand him. He is brilliant around the house, fully housetrained, doesn’t chew and can be left alone, so he would suit an owner who works. He gets worried out on walks, and will often refuse to walk. He is happy to stay at home and play in the garden. He will need a child and pet-free home. Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies | Helping Yorkshire Poundies Photo: Helping Yorkshire Poundies

20. Fabulous Franklin
Franklin is a lovely one-year-old pup who is desperate to find a home after being at the shelter for a year. He cannot cope with walks in busy areas and needs a home in the countryside so he can be safely managed on walks. He is fully housetrained and can be left for a few hours. He loves to run and play with other larger breed dogs. He will need a child-free home and will need careful introductions to visitors.
