Motorcyclist taken to hospital with broken bones after Sheffield smash

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with suspected broken bones after a collision in Sheffield this morning.

The man was riding a red Triumph motorbike along Chesterfield Road, Meersbrook, when he was involved in a crash with a silver Vauxhall Insignia close to the Morrisons petrol station.

Emergency services were alerted to the smash at 8.40am.

POLICE: Sheffield schoolboy vanishes in city
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "The man riding the bike has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, thought to be broken bones."
