A Sheffield woman was slashed with a razor blade during a row with her son in Sheffield.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to a house in Burrows Drive, Longley, at 12.20am yesterday after an argument at the property 'quickly escalated' and resulted in a woman suffering razor blade wounds to her face and hands.

The force said the incident involved a woman and her son.

When officers arrived at the house the victim's son had fled.

A police spokesman said: " At about 12.20am yesterday an argument between mother and son started at an address on Burrows Drive.
"This quickly escalated and resulted in the son assaulting his mother with a razor blade before fleeing the address.
"Police attend and find victim with facial and hand injuries that required hospital treatment."
