Thieves attempt to steal Environment Agency water pumps used in flooded Doncaster

Thieves have attempted to steal water pumps used by the Environment Agency in flooded Doncaster, it has emerged today.

Area manager Martin Christmas, from the Environment Agency, revealed this morning that thieves have targeted pumps and pallet barriers overnight.

He said: “Unfortunately, we've started to see some criminal activity trying to steal our pumps and steal our pallet barriers.

"So, a plea to anyone out there in the area who sees anyone suspicious, please get in touch with police.
