Sheffield shooting: Man arrested over gun attack after house is shot at

A man has been arrested over a shooting in a Sheffield street, which remains sealed off by the police today.

Police officers were deployed to Ferrars Road, Tinsley, at 7.45pm yesterday to reports that shots were fired towards a house in the street.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences over the gun attack.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at around 7.45pm to reports that shots were fired towards a property in Ferrars Road, causing damage to a window. No one was injured.

“A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

“An investigation has been launched and additional patrols have been deployed to the area to provide reassurance.

“Officers are keen to hear form anyone who may hold information about what happened.
