M1 crash: Sheffield drivers warned of delays after police close lanes following collision

Motorists on the M1 south of Sheffield are being warned to expect delays after a collision earlier this morning.

Highways England said two lanes of the northbound M1, between Tibshelf Services and Junction 29 for Chesterfield have been closed, causing delays for motorists.

Traffic officers have been deployed to the crash scene and congestion is said to be building on the approach.

Details on the nature of the collision being dealt with have not yet been released by Derbyshire Constabulary.
