More arrests as Sheffield police continue High Green 'explosives' investigation
Street was evacuated while army carried out search
Police investigating suspected ‘potential explosives’ in High Green, Sheffield, have announced arrests this morning.
South Yorkshire Police are no longer at the house on Mapplebeck Road which was at the centre of a search which led to houses within 100 metres being evacuated.

But this morning the force announced that a man in his 60s and woman in her 50s have been arrested under the Explosive Substances Act and on suspicion of drug offences.
They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
On Sunday, a woman in her 30s was charged with an offence under the Explosive Substances Act.
She appeared in court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Aneela Khalil-Khan, who is leading the investigation, said: “While one suspect has been charged and two more have been questioned, our investigation is very much ongoing.
“While we are aware of the public and media interest in this operation, we are limited in what we can say due to the active court proceedings. We remind the public to avoid speculating on social media.
“What I can say is that our priority throughout has been keeping the public safe.”
The search at the house on Mapplebeck Road, led by the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Team, concluded on Wednesday.
Specialists recovered suspected chemicals, drugs, and weapons.
Police say there is no longer a risk to nearby properties or people.
