Killers on the run: Police search continues after two Sheffield murders in the space of a week

Police searches are continuing today for the killers of two men murdered in Sheffield in the space of a week.

One murder victim was shot dead and the other was stabbed.

In the first killing, 30-year-old Khurm Javed, also known as Khuram, was shot dead on Clough Road, close to Bramall Lane, on Saturday, April 10.

The solicitor and married dad-of-two is said to have been shot following a ‘confrontation between two parties’.

Two men, aged 21 and 23, were arrested over his death but then bailed pending further enquiries.

In the early hours of the following Saturday – April 17 – Danny Irons, 32, was stabbed to death on Fretson Green, Manor.

The dad-of-three could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An arrest was made over the murder but the 28-year-old suspect was later released under investigation.
