Buses diverted after pre-planned police activity carried out on Sheffield estate

Pre-planned police activity carried out on a Sheffield estate this morning resulted in buses being diverted away from a city street.

The activity centred around Spinkhill Avenue in Richmond and led to buses being diverted in both directions via Hastilar Road South, Richmond Road and Stradbroke Road.

Details on the nature of the police activity has not yet been revealed, but South Yorkshire Police said: “Pre-planned police activity has been carried out in the area this morning as part of an ongoing operation.”
