'Deal anticipated' for Sheffield pub for sale described as 'perfect for game night with the Blades'
A Sheffield pub once described as perfect for game night with the Blades is expected to be sold after it was put up for auction.
The Royal Standard, on St Mary’s Road, near to Sheffield United’s ground, now has a guide price of £500,000 after an online auction held by Mark Jenkinson.
It started at £375,000, did not sell on the day but auctioneer Adrian Little said: "There was considerable interest and we anticipate a deal.”
The pub’s website once described it as ‘perfect for a game night’.
