New managers Emerald Late Bars and Restaurants, describe The Wick as an already ‘successful business’.

It’s previous owners used the bar’s Facebook account to say goodbye to customers and to thank them for their support over the years.

They posted: “The Wick sadly will not be reopening as you know it, we would like to thank all of our customers and staff past and present for such a great time over the years.

“We look forward to seeing you on the other side the bar of many of our fine city’s independent pubs and bars.”
