Fabled Sheffield restaurant Uncle Sam’s is celebrating its 55th birthday this weekend as memories pile up from admirers on its Facebook page.
The Ecclesall Road-based American style diner opened its doors on July 4, 1971, and has established itself as a Sheffield “institution”, serving up quarter pounders, fries, its renowned cheese sauce and a whole lot of nostalgia.
