'Vulnerable” teenage Rotherham girl plied with vodka and cannabis and raped 15 times by three Asian men'
Defendants “recognised vulnerability” and were quick to groom, manipulate and exploit the victim
A “vulnerable” teenage Rotherham girl was plied with vodka and cannabis and raped 15 times by three Asian men - handed over for sex to repay “favours” on one occasion, a court heard.
The teen, who cannot be identified, was estranged from her parents and was aged 13-14 when her carers in 2008 noticed she had a number of mobile phones and teachers detected a change in her attitude as she became increasingly “defiant”.

She started referring to one of the defendants - then 19-year-old “drug dealer” Mudasar Hussain, now aged 36, - as her “boyfriend” - and would regularly go missing.
Sheffield Crown Court heard Mudasar Hussain, his older brother Ghazanfar Hussain, now aged 40, and Khamir Khan, now 36, would drive the girl to various locations - including a dingy ruined terrace with a dirty mattress - and rape her.
Eventually she was moved away from Rotherham by social services, which is when the abuse stopped and she identified all three later in a police line-up.
All three men were arrested as part of Operation Stovewood, a National Crime Agency investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013.
Matthew Cobbe, prosecuting, told jurors: “This is a case about sexual exploitation.
“It’s the prosecution case that Mudasar Hussain and Khamir Khan recognised vulnerability in (the victim) and were quick to groom, manipulate and exploit her.
“The events took place in Rotherham between 15 and 20 years ago. (The girl) was 13 to 14 when she met and was manipulated by Mudasar Hussain. She was 14 when she met Khamir Khan . Her life was chaotic at the time.
“The prosecution case is she was easy prey for Mudasar Hussain and Khamir Khan.

Mr Cobbe said Ghazanfar did not manipulate the complainant “in the same way” but he “took advantage of her when the opportunity presented itself”.
He said: “(The complainant) is now in her early 30s and has moved on with her life, having left that chaotic lifestyle and exploitation behind her. But it has left its mark.”
Mr Cobbe described how the trio’s young victim’s carers “did their very best to provide stability and security”, however this was “undermined”.
The prosecutor told how around the end of Year 8 teachers noticed the victim becoming “defiant and argumentative”.
A number of mobile phones she had access to would be replaced the same day if removed by teachers and she started going missing.
A witness recalled seeing the alleged victim with a group of Asian males and, recognising Mudasar Hussain as one of them, warning her he was a “drug dealer”.
She started seeing the complainant in a car with Mudasar and noticed she had started calling him her “boyfriend”. When the complainant went missing for a number of weeks social services moved her away from Rotherham.
Mr Cobbe said: “She later confirmed that the exploitation by Mudasar Hussain and Khamir Khan stopped when she was moved out of the area.
“You will all hear the prosecution case - a brutal account of her life as she turned from 13 to 14.
“Mudasar Hussain was six years older than her. She thought she was in a relationship with him. That’s precisely what he wanted her to think.
“She thought he was charming - he gave her drugs and alcohol and she thought she loved him, which is precisely what he wanted. He told her he loved her and gave her cannabis and vodka, they would have a spliff and sex would follow.”
Mr Cobbe said Mudasar would drive the girl to various locations for sex - including the address of a woman on Josephine Road who was “terrified” of Mudasar.
Mr Cobbe said the same woman witnessed him being “verbally and physically abusive” towards the teen and behaved as if he could do “precisely what he chose”.
Mudasar often took the young girl to a dilapidated property she called the “halfway house” with no windows or doors, using his mobile phone to find a dirty mattress where they would smoke cannabis and she “knew what was expected”.
He would also regularly rape her at a canal-side birdwatching house or in his Peugeot car if all else failed.
The trial heard how the girl met Khamir Khan at his family-owned takeaway when she was aged 14 while Mudasar Hussain was away in Pakistan.
Khan would pay her to assist with deliveries and the pair would “talk at length”, said Mr Cobbe, and told Khan “she was not happy at home”.
The sex began with him around two weeks after they first met and lasted for around seven months, said Mr Cobbe.
Khan would offer the teen up for sex with other males as a “favour” - on one occasion leaving her with an older male in a house who went on to rape her.
However the relationship with Khan ended when she refused intercourse with anymore unknown males.
Ghazanfar Hussain was said to have forced her to commit a sex act in the inspection pit of a mechanic garage in Tinsley in April 2009.
After driving her and another young girl there he refused to take either of them home unless she performed the sex act.
Mr Cobbe told jurors: “(The complainant) was vulnerable and exploited by Mudasar and Ghazanfar Hussain and Kamil Khan. Mudasar Hussain plied her with drink and cannabis and promised he loved her.
“Kamil Khan knew she was vulnerable because she told him. She was given no choice by Ghazanfar Hussain.”
Khan, 36, of no fixed abode, denies two counts of rape and one count of trafficking of a person in the UK for sexual exploitation.
Mudasser Hussain, 36, of Henley Grove Road, Rotherham, denies 12 counts of rape.
Ghazanfar Hussain, 40, of Rosebery Street, Rotherham, denies one count of rape.
The trial continues.
