Sheffield social media star wins award for inspiring children with stammers
Sam Bagshaw has lived with a stammer since childhood, but has now been named winner of the JustGiving awards 2026 for inspiring confidence in children with the speech impediment.

Sam, who is from Sheffield, is one of the leading advocates for stammer awareness.
He has built a following of over one million people on TikTok and 421,000 on Instagram.

The 30-year-old has also raised nearly £10,000 to support children and young people who stammer.
Sam is the winner of the Social For Good category at the JustGiving awards. He said:
“I wasn’t expecting this at all.
“I just want to continue raising money and awareness for the charity, helping people like me to have more confidence in themselves. That’s so important to me.”
The award was presented by former Sheffield United player Paul Coutts as a surprise to Sam when he was in the fan zone before a match.
He was also shown a video montage of some of the children he has inspired reading a poem.
