IN PICTURES: Busy day as Sheffielders get back to the shops, gym, pubs, cafes and restaurants

The Moor in Sheffield was once again thronged with shoppers, while others headed for outdoor bars and the hairdressers as lockdown restrictions were eased today, Monday, April 12.

Fashion chain Primark and department store Debenhams, which is set to close in May as the the firm was hit badly by the pandemic, were among those where shoppers queued to get in.

At lunchtime, drinkers raised a glass at The Forum on Devonshire Green and The Riverside, Kelham Island as outdoor drinking areas were allowed to welcome customers again.

And Top Salon on Barnsley Road was one of many city hairdressing salons having a busy day, with clients eager to get rid of that lockdown look at last.
