There are a number of famous people who grew up and went to school in Sheffield, from actors to musicians to television presenters.
Ever wondered where Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner went to school, or award winning actor Sean Bean? What about businessman Peter Stringfellow or BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker?
Well look no further – these are the Sheffield schools attended by celebrities. How many did you know?
The award-winning actor grew up in Sheffield and attended Brook Comprehensive School - which unfortunately no longer exists. He went on to study welding at Rotherham College, before taking an art class and enrolling on a drama course at the college. While there it was clear he was destined for big things - and he got a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris
Frontman Alex Turner and bandmates Matt Helders, Jamie Cook, Nick O’Malley and Andy Nicholson all come from High Green in Sheffield and met at Stocksbridge High School. They played plenty of small gigs in Sheffield - including their first ever one at the Grapes pub on Trippet Lane - before they became one of the most popular British indie bands of all time.
