Runners of all ages and abilities are preparing to take to the streets of Yorkshire's Steel City as the Sheffield 10K returns this month.

Runners taking part in the event Sunday, September 27, starting at 9.30am, will then wind along Brocco Bank and back onto Ecclesall Road and finish at Arundel Gate via Furnival Gate.

On a typically hilly route, runners will climb 109 metres.

Tristan Batley-Kyle, from organisers Run For All, said the run looked to be “another fantastic day for the city”.

He said: "Whether you're taking on your first 10K, running for a charity close to your heart, representing your workplace or simply looking for a memorable day out with family and friends, there's something for everyone.”

Food and drink is available both pre and post-run, with several bars and cafes welcoming spectators and participants.

Those taking part can drop bags in the designated baggage store, with a detachable baggage label attached to race numbers.

Runners are asked to use the allocated toilets - any runners seen urinating anywhere other than the facilities provided will be disqualified.

Water stations are fixed throughout the course, with exact locations on the route map.

All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event.

Side events include the Sheffield 10K Corporate Challenge, which sees teams from local businesses compete for the title of Corporate Challenge Champions.
