The Courteeners set to headline Sheffield's Rock N Roll Circus in 2027

“We've still got three more headliners and plenty of surprises to come”

Much-loved anthem writers The Courteeners are set to headline one of Sheffield’s most popular festivals next year.

The indie pop band will be joined by the likes of The Vaccines and The Lathums at the Don Valley Bowl for the Rock N Roll Circus 2027.

It won’t be the first time the band, made famous with hits Not Nineteen Forever and What Took You So Long?, have appeared in Sheffield, hosting countless gigs in the city and even playing in Tramlines earlier this year.

They are set to take the stage on August 28, 2027.

Three further headline acts are still set to be announced for next year’s Rock N Roll Circus, which will take place between Thursday August 26 and Sunday August 29 next year.

Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday, November 6.

Ali O'Reilly, festival director of Rock N Roll Circus, said: "Anyone who saw Courteeners at Tramlines knows exactly what Sheffield means to this band. They absolutely blew the doors off the place, and there's something about the connection between Liam and a Sheffield crowd that makes every show feel like a homecoming.

"To have The Vaccines and The Lathums joining them is a huge statement, but we're just as excited about the artists coming through on Stage 2. Bands like Cherryholt, Cowboy Hunters and Ist Ist are exactly why we love putting these line-ups together. There's something brilliant about watching a new band in an intimate setting and then heading into the Big Top for one of the biggest acts in the country.

"2027 marks our fifth year in Sheffield, which is a real milestone for us. We've grown with the city, the audiences have been incredible and we're proud of what Rock N Roll Circus has become.

"And this is just the start. We've still got three more headliners and plenty of surprises to come. Sheffield, we're going to make this one count."
