A national clothing brand is set to open a large shop in Sheffield city centre.
Mountain Warehouse has taken the former River Island unit on The Moor.
It is set to open this month, The Star understands.
The move will be a relief for city centre bosses after River Island closed in early September, leaving a large hole in the street’s retail offer.
Mountain Warehouse has a shop on St James Retail Park, Bochum Parkway in Jordanthorpe and Fox Valley shopping centre in Stocksbridge.
In March, the firm said it planned to open dozens more stores after an expansion drive helped it reach record sales and profits for the past year.
