9. Barry Bannan
Another who had only just joined that summer, Bannan became a firm fans favourite straight away and remains so to this day after 200 appearances and 11 goals. (Photo by Alex Livesey/Getty Images) Photo: Alex Livesey
10. Fernando Forestieri
Was sensational - and top scorer - in this his first season at Wednesday having joined from Watford but sullied his reputation a little when refusing to play in a match at Norwich at the start of the next campaign amid interest from other clubs. 11. Gary Hooper
Hooper joined a little later in the season on loan from Norwich, intially until just January. He eventually signed permanently and his goals helped Wednesday into the top six. The striker would make 89 appearances, scoring 31 goals before he left in 2019. Now in the 'A' League playing and scoring for Wellington Phoenix. (GLYN KIRK/AFP via Getty Images) Photo: GLYN KIRK
12. Jeremy Helan
The former Manchester City youngster came off the bench at Wembley despite having been on loan at Wolves for much of the second half of the season.
