Sheffield boxer Dalton ‘Thunder’ Smith is returning to fight in his home town after coming back from New York with the WBC Super Lightweight World Championship belt after a ferocious battle in Brooklyn. This month, the Steel City King will defend his WBC Super Lightweight World Championship against another dangerous opponent, taking on Dominican southpaw Alberto Puello at the Sheffield Utilita Arena and tickets are still available here for what’s sure to be an action-packed night.

After throwing caution to the wind at the Barclays Centre, in Brooklyn, Smith went toe-to-toe with the Puerto Rican Matias, using powerful combinations and heavy right hands that finished Matias in the fifth round. The fight was described by Matchroom Boxing as “one of the greatest wins in modern British boxing history”.

When Smith defends his title on Saturday, October 24, in front of his hometown crowd, the atmosphere will be electric and fans can be a big part of the action. For those who move quickly, inner ring premium tickets are available via Ticketmaster here, priced at £348.95.

For those who miss out on premium seats, tickets are currently priced from £49.95. Alternatively, for fight fans who want to watch in the comfort of their own homes, the world-title bout will be available to watch live on DAZN with subscriptions available here.

Smith’s opponent Puello is a two-time World Champion, previously considered unlucky to lose on points to Matias and will be looking to retake the title and prove a point.

Nicknamed La Avispa (The Wasp), Southpaw Puello has the potential to cause problems for Smith who will need to smart to avoid getting stung.

Smith told DAZN Boxing: “It’s going to be a high-level boxing fight. I’ll approach this fight completely differently if I need to.”
