Traffic chaos and emergency services on scene after major route near Sheffield closed after crash

A major route near Sheffield is reported closed this afternoon, after a crash.

Eyewitness accounts describe the Dronfield bypass as closed in the Chesterfield-bound direction from from the Bowshaw roundabout, near Batemoor.

A car was described as having crashed into the central reservation just after the roundabout

Three unmarked police cars were seen blocking off the entry to the bypass.

Emergency services have been approached for more information about the incident, which is believed to have involved two vehicles.
