The former West Bromwich Albion manager was today appointed as the new Owls manager ahead of a crunch end to the season at Hillsborough, so we took a look at what might be his best XI if everybody was fit and available.
Obviously there are injuries currently and plenty of contracts/loans expiring at the end of the season, but based on the squad alone – and if they’re injury free – they do have the players to play his fluid 4-2-3-1 formation.
He’s also used 4-4-2, 3-5-2 and 3-5-2 up to now, but if we were to go for his preferred fluid 4-2-3-1 with ball-playing midfielders, here’s how he could line up based on what’s available to him going forward.
