Garry Monk fielded a very young Owls team, handing a debut to teenager, Liam Waldock, that was unable to stand up to a strong Fulham side who were clinical with their chances and secured their place in the next round. SWFC will now turn their focus back to the Championship.

I thought Waldock had a really solid debut, personally. Looked tidy in possession, got stuck in, and was by no means overawed by the occasion of his first Owls appearance. Went off towards the end of the second half and will be pleased with his night - aside from the result of course. Photo: Sheffield Wednesday FC

A willing runner for the Owls, but wasn't at his best while being utilised behind the striker again. Not a bad performance, but he did seem to become less involved in the second half than he was in the first. Photo: Steve Ellis

Absolutely full of running as always, tried to badger the Fulham defence throughout his time on the field but wasn't as much of a threat as he'd like to have been. Could've had a goal when Palmer's effort fell at his feet, but it ended up going wide. Photo: Steve Ellis

Tried to do his bit when coming on, but only got about 20 minutes and it was as Wednesday did seem to be tiring a bit. Didn't do anything wrong. Photo: Steve Ellis
