After a few days of speculation, Pulis was announced as Garry Monk’s successor on Friday night, with the experienced manager coming in to try and steer the Wednesday ship further up the Championship table.
Pulis comes into Hillsborough with a wealth of experience in English football, and especially in the second tier, and will be desperate to get off to a winning start this weekend against Preston North End when he takes his place on the bench for the first time.

Hide AdNow, having taken his first session with his players on Monday morning, the former Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough boss has been speaking to the media for the first time since his unveiling, and he said he wants to help the club push forward.
He told the media, “Obviously the club is a massive club… It's one of those that you call a sleeping giant. It's been a long time since the club pushed off, and they’re in a precarious position. The chairman has put a lot of money into the club, got to the final and semifinal, then there's been a big drop-off.
“From the outside it’s been interesting to see what has and hasn't taken place. There are certain elements to clubs that have been successful and haven’t been. I can't comment too much on my first day, but it’s interesting to see what needs to happen for the club to push on.
"The chairman has put an enormous amount of money and the return should’ve been better, now it’s my chance to step in… I want to be honest with the chairman, I don’t want to just tell him and others what they want to here. I want to be truthful and honest – my biggest disappointment is that he’s away and not in the country at the minute.”
