Ticket prices confirmed for Sheffield Wednesday-Bolton Wanderers Carabao Cup clash
The Owls and Bolton meet again in the Carabao Cup
Ticket details for Sheffield Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers have been confirmed.
The Owls host The Trotters on Saturday, August 8 in the first round of the competition, which starts one week before the League One season gets underway. The two sides were drawn against each other last year, but Wednesday, who won on penalties, have home advantage this time. They are also a division apart now, with the teams having swapped leagues, following Wednesday’s relegation and Bolton’s promotion.
It will be interesting to see how they both approach the fixture, which could effectively be used as another pre-season friendly, or if it is taken more seriously with regards to starting line-ups. Wednesday begin their league campaign a week later at Leyton Orient, while Bolton start life back in the Championship at home to Preston.
Tickets are now on sale to season ticket holders. Supporters can purchase one ticket per holder. General sale starts on Monday, July 27 at 9am. The club has said only the South Stand only will be open for this fixture. Lower blocks on the Kop may open depending on demand. Prices are £15 for adults, £10 for seniors and under-22s, and £5 for under-18s.
“Given a large proportion of the stadium will be closed, season ticket seats will not be held, however season ticket holders will have a priority booking period ahead of general sale,” the club said.
Tickets are available at the Ticket Office, by telephone on 03700 201867 (option 1) or online with a £1.50 booking fee per ticket for telephone and online orders. All supporters who attend this game and purchase their tickets in advance under their own ID number will receive 10 Ticket Priority Points.
Bolton, managed by Steven Schumacher, beat Oldham Athletic 3-1 in a friendly on Tuesday night, Ruben Rodrigues hitting a double substitute John McAtee adding a third.
