We’ve had a bit of team news from the Cheltenham side but now we need to find out what’s happening in the Wednesday camp as Moore and his side look to try and get back to winning ways after three consecutive draws in League One.

Brown has been in and out of the Owls side over the course of the campaign so far, playing in various positions, and will be keen to try and make an impact at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium tomorrow if given the opportunity.

Jaden Brown and Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday press conferences

Key Events

  • Jaden Brown spoke to us this morning
  • Darren Moore had plenty to say in the afternoon

A 3-5-2 is one system, just one of them though. It’s not always the same system.

Also, we tried to get more left-footers into the building, but they don’t fall off trees. We went in for a few at the start of the season, and missed out. So one or two had to deputise.

The wide players illustrate that there is another formation, but right now I’m a bit forced because of injuries.

We’ve had to be adaptable... Will I stick to this system? No. There’s every possibility I’ll go to 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2.

DM on Marvin Johnson

What Marvin does is give us natural balance on the left... That’s why I was so gutted when Lewis Gibson got injured, because it stripped us of that balance. We are definitely trying to balance things because of the injuries - but we’re hopeful that over the next few weeks we can get more off the treatment table.

DM on players in different positions

There probably has been square pegs in round holes, but I said at the start of the season that there would be players in positions not recognised. But they’ll be doing a job there.

Liam Palmer played LB, Jaden played LW. And our defensive record was excellent.

We’ve had injuries, so I was a bit sombre after the Bolton game because of injuries.

He’s a really important player - because he’s different to what we’ve got. As is George.

To have them back and available, if they go unscathed, will be a real positive for us.

Injury-wise, we’re pleased that Mass and George are back into real full training now. Full contact.

We’re just going to give them a bit of volume - they’ll be playing for the U23s on Monday night. Both are both back in, which is good news on that front.

This weekend we won’t get Sam back because he’s had a minor setback, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. He was maybe just a bit too eager. We’ll look at him for next week.

I’m really pleased to have George and Mass back in - the U23s will be part of their match minutes in terms of getting to full fitness.

Darren Moore will be here to chat around 1pm

A bit from Brown...

And that’s all from Jaden - Moore coming up later

We’ll be chatting to Darren Moore around 1pm this afternoon.

They’ll be up for it, but we’re ready.

Definitely... People want to look at the table, and if we can get a good run of games then we’ll shoot up the table. So the next few games are important, and if we win then the conversations are different. It can happen in a week. That’s how football is.
