The Owls suffered an injury nightmare last season as many of their players missed big chunks of the campaign on the sidelines, however things do seem to be going better this time around following a number of changes that Moore has made.

One of those changes, and the latest one it would appear, is the arrival of Dominic Millward, who has been brought in as a soft tissue therapist at the club – in order to try and help prevent many of the issues that plagued the Owls last season.

When asked about his arrival at the club recently, Moore said that it was a decision made given their smaller squad this season, with importance being placed on keeping everyone as fit as possible.

“We wanted to bring in an extra one,” he told The Star. “We had one, but wanted two. It’s just to get more hands on the players in terms of recoveries after games. There’s a lot of little things that we’ve tweaked with the staff that we didn’t have last season that we now have this season – and for the moment it seems to be paying dividends in terms of what we’re doing.

“We’ve got a smaller squad than we did last year, so there’s more versatility to the team, but it also means we have to aid their recovery. It’s about prevention rather than being a cure.”

As things stand Wednesday have only Dennis Adeniran and Ben Heneghan out with long-term injuries.
