The Owls play host to the Vale this evening as they look to extend their unbeaten run in League One, but a hefty away following will be there to spur on the visitors in their attempt to spring an upset.

Wednesday won 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign thanks to a Will Vaulks stunner, and Darren Moore says that Darrell Clarke's side will make it tough by giving them no time on the ball.

Moore said of their next opponents, “It’s another team that got promoted last season, earlier in our campaign we got a scrappy 1-0 win over them with a dogged display in a difficult game - they’re a team that don’t give you much time, and make it very, very hard for you.

“So I expect another tough game, but we go into it in a positive frame of mind. We’re 11 without loss at the halfway point, with three losses in 23, so I’m pleased with that.

“We’re on track, but it’s another tough game and one where we’re going to have to be ready as a group of players.”

The Owls won the last visit of the Valiants to Hillsborough in 2005, with Steve MacLean scoring the only goal of the game on that occasion. A win today would make it 12 without defeat for Wednesday.
